A crippled girl, named Yumi, who is at the same hospital with Jun Pyo, comes into the story and befriends Jun Pyo. When he wakes up, he remembers everything except for Jan Di. Later on Jun Pyo gets hit by a car and gets in a coma. She does everything possible to prevent Jun Pyo from being with Jan Di, as she believes that her son, Goo Jun Pyo shouldn't be dating a commoner (referring to Jan Di). As their relationship becomes official, Jun Pyo's mother became an obstacle. Jun Pyo persists in showing Jan Di his affections towards her and after the event of going on a date with Ji Hoo, she realizes her feelings towards him. However, Jan Di dislikes him for what he had done to her and she already has taken a liking in Ji Hoo. After continuous bullying his feelings for Jan Di began to develop. Jun Pyo then puts a red card in Jan Di's locker which indicated that she was a victim for F4. She is the only one who is strong enough to stand up against Jun Pyo after he tries to humiliate Min Ji, Jan Di's only friend at the school. Jan Di initially hates him and his two friends, So Yi Jung and Song Woo Bin.
Although, it seems one-sided at first, it is seen that Yi Jung is very interested with Ga Eul, even though he states that he does not like "innocent, nice girls". It started from the night when Yi Jung helped exact revenge against Ga Eul's ex-boyfriend who cheated her. Meanwhile, there is also a blossoming romance between the F4's Artistic Playboy-So Yi Jung, and Jan Di's Supportive Best Friend-Chu Ga Eul. Still, their love remains compact, although sometimes they also face the downs of life. From simple things like their temperaments, to hard and intricate confrontations with Jun Pyo's mother. Jan Di and Jun Pyo face a lot of challenges in their relationship.

As the story progresses, it is also seen that Ji Hoo, Jan Di and Jun Pyo become involved in a love triangle, only to be settled after a 3-round contest, in which Ji Hoo and Jan Di won, but Ji Hoo sets Jan Di free for Jun Pyo. Jun Pyo, seeing how strong and resistant Jan Di is to his bullying, slowly began to develop feelings for her. Jan Di, seeing Jun Pyo's ways, stood up for her friend, and thus, a war between the two began. Her friend apologizes, but the unforgiving and tyrannical Jun Pyo would not accept it. A day came when a friend of Jan Di in Shinwa accidentally spilled ice cream on Jun Pyo's shoes. The F4 consists of 4 people: Gu Jun Pyo, Yoon Ji Hoo, So Yi Jung, and Song Woo Bin. There are the mean girls, fake friends, and last but not least: The F4. At the school, she meets people with various personalities. The school is filled with rich people who can afford to go there. A second year high school student, Geum Jan-Di, is given a swimming scholarship to a prestigious school known as Shinhwa after saving a boy who tried to commit suicide in order to stop the protest against the Shinwa Group.
